River Dart just below Hembury Woods

This is one of our many local beauty spots, just ten minutes from Buckfastleigh, Ashburton Town centres and about 15 minutes from Penpark. At the top of Hembury woods there is a pre-historic mound (a walled mound fortress) which can still be seen today. The river scenes are of the Queen of the Dart about 1 Km west of the famous Buckfast Abbey. (easy walking)
