        Penpark is ideally situated for exploring Devon, Dartmoor and the coast.  We are 25 minutes from Exeter and 30 minutes from Plymouth.  There are historic houses such as Saltram near Plymouth; castles such as Castle Drogo near Chagford and many beautiful gardens and nurseries to visit.  Dartington Hall near Totnes is nearby where many  musical and cultural events take place including their International Summer School and the now very popular Way With Words fortnight held each July.  There are lovely coastal walks to enjoy and the whole of Dartmoor with its charming  villages and historic sites to explore.  There are golf courses and horse riding stables nearby and wonderful walking  country on the doorstep.
